The album, with the working title "CALLS" , will contain snippets of my phone calls with musicians and friends during the creative process.

During the creation of each album, I create a circle of people to whom I send my ideas. We then get on the phone together and talk about our feelings about a particular record and concept. These are either friends or musicians I collaborate with.

I went through a period of frustration during the making of the "Behind The Frozen Window" EP, where I read Valery Kupka's poems with my daughter. It was unusual for me to use my voice in my music. It created mixed opinions among friends, and I endlessly re-recorded my readings of the poems.
I recorded some parts of the phone calls (with just my voice) and decided to set them to music. In doing so, I'm channeling a period of frustration, but also support, directly into the music.

The result is an album with what I hope is a unique concept, one where  the musician as author fully becomes a piece of music himself.. The album also offers a glimpse inside the "kitchen", an insight into how my ideas are born.
Art is born out of pain ...


Erik Truffaz, Paolo Raineri, Arve Henriksen, Marco Minnemann and other guests will be featured on the album.
